Lisa Regina
Lisa Regina has been a professional actress and acting coach for over 20 years. Her Film/TV credits include The Sopranos, Priceless, The Bakery, The Tournament and national commercial campaigns for Delta Sky Miles, K-Mart and Macy’s.
Lisa studied and maintained Dean’s List at New York University in the School of Educational Theatre, as well as the Tisch School for the Performing Arts. As an educator of the arts, Lisa formerly taught at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Lisa coaches actors in New York City, Long Island and New Jersey. Her company, LR Acting Workshops, offers professional on-camera acting to all ages and all levels. Classes include: On-Camera Film & TV techniques, Improvisation, Scene Work, Monologues, Audition techniques.
Lisa provides professional training, career counseling and casting opportunities to all of her students. All students are given the chance to audition for casting directors, filmmakers, directors in addition to training.
As a professional of the arts, Lisa is committed to creating projects from concept, writing, directing and producing that shed light on the stories that often go unheard. In 2001, she wrote, directed and produced an educational film, “Kenny,” which won the Manhattan Global Film Festival and a Humanitarian Award. “Kenny” is an educational project, focused on the rare skin disease Ichthyosis and is currently being distributed by the National Film Network.
Recently, Lisa wrote, directed and produced an educational stage performance, “A Write to Heal.” As the Founder and Director of A Write to Heal. Lisa continues to educate others through writing, performance and filmmaking. The show Premiered at the Culture Project in NYC and throughout communities in New Jersey. “A Write to Heal” is a collection of monologues, poems and music emerging from the true stories of women who have been victims of domestic violence. As a survivor, Lisa now educates others and is collaborating with various domestic violence programs to introduce A Write to Heal throughout the country. She teaches her writing program, A Write to Heal, as a credited course for the New Jersey Coalition for Battered Women.
